This project involved the replacement and expansion of an academic wing within the fabric of the existing Middle School.

In addition to the expansion, a major reorganization of the circulation space was developed. The addition called for the integration of the new facility into the architectural fabric of the existing structure.

QUAKER ROAD SCHOOL

WELLAND, ONTARIO

This 37,000 Sq. Ft. K-8 elementary school is comprised of 14 classrooms, 2 kindergartens, a gymnasium, library/resource centre and administrative spaces. The design of the building recalls the region's rural heritage through the use of the 'silo' for the kindergarten and the post and beam canopy at the front entry.

RANDWOOD SCHOOL OF PHILOSOPHY

NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE, ONTARIO

Over one-hundred students can be accomodated in dormitory-style rooms in this historically significant residence on John Street.

Originally built in the first quarter of the 19th century, it was modified in the third empire style in the late 1800's. Additions and alterations were made from 1990 to 2000 in order to accomodate the changing needs of the school.
