This long term care facility is comprised of 150 resident beds on three levels. The ground floor contains common living / community space with a multi-denominational Chapel.

The home also contains a daycare program space for residents within the community to participate in special activities. The home is physically connected to the local hospital with the idea of sharing medical facilities as needed.

The home is orientated south overlooking the waters of lake erie.

LAKE ERIE , ONTARIO

The programme called for a new home for 80 residents configured as four 20 resident houses with a central building surrounding an entry court.

The domestic character of the project provides a welcome alternative to the institutional and clinical aspects of extended care. The houses are relatively self-sufficient, each having their own trellised garden on the entry court, dining room, and activity areas.

WELLAND, ONTARIO

The programme called for a new home for 120 residents, configured as four 30 resident houses, with a central building surrounding an entry court. The domestic nature of the building reflects current trends in long term care facilities.

The houses are relatively self-sufficient with enclosed garden spaces for the enjoyment of the residents. The central building contains a central town square focus with administrative offices, central kitchen, laundry, chapel, tuckshop, and meeting spaces.
